Homemade ramen are great for a special occasion.
 I have always loved this noodle dish. It’s a delicious canvas in its simplest form. That’s how I like it best, maybe 3 ingredients. That’s it. I use a great broth, an egg and some green onions. So much can happen when you establish “The Base”. I also love it with pork belly, spouts, shrimp, fried shallots...
Chili’s… The list is endless.
Since the invention of the instant ramen in the 1950’s we have little need to make them from scratch. I lived on these during my college years.
I finally made some fresh ramen noodles. The team and I tried them and we gave the noodles 5 thumbs up. Making ramen noodles from scratch takes much longer but I enjoy the process. Are they better? Let’s just say I will make them again but I will always keep some instant ramen around.
