You never know what might pop into my head. This is about basting ribs while they are cooking low and slow. I use all kinds of things usually a vinegar based or a citrus based liquid.
Recently my son bought a gallon of very large pickles. His pickles are taking up prime restate in my refrigerator. My goal was to move them out at any cost. That’s when it hit me. It was very cold outside so I cooked the ribs in the oven. Here is the funny part I basted the ribs with pickle juice as they slowly cooked.
Best ribs ever? Not for me but for my pickle loving son? He ate every bite. I still prefer vinegar and water but for you pickle lovers this could be the one.
We had a good laugh and had a little fun.
