Cookie, Pie or Cake

Whoopie pies are so loved that 3 or more states lay claim to their origin. This is a sweet addictive treat. When I brought 3 whoopee pies home for 4 people, things became a little uncomfortable. My kids have all grown up in Kentucky and my wife is from Maryland, somehow it seemed they had an emotional attachment to this northeastern treat.

Whoopie Pies are that good. It is why they are fun to buy or make. They are delicious to eat.

One of the stories that I like is loved ones would use the left over cake dough and icing to make these little treats. When you opened your lunch box and saw what someone had done for you they would scream whoopie. That’s cute.
